Ginger Snip
   Tapestry Instructor and Textile Expert

Born in Germany and raised in Texas, Ginger learned to sew and knit as a child.  She graduated from the University of Maryland in Textile Marketing and spent years studying weaving and dyeing at the Southwest School of Art and Design in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to being an award winning weaver, she co-owned and operated Needle Rock Fiberarts for years, a yarn and knitting salon, in Telluride, Colorado.   There she taught knitting and encouraged all who entered to delve into the rich world of fiber.


 Ginger is a grandmother of two, a mother of three and lives with her husband, two dogs and four horses in Telluride.  She weaver on Rio Grande and SAORI looms at home and loves to travel and interact with fiber enthusiasts everywhere.


Jennifer Susannah Miller
  Nationally recognized color expert, designer, fiber artist

A yarn and color designer, Jennifer is the creator of Theodora’s Pearls, internationally known hand-painted and hand-dyed yarns, featuring unusual and luxury fibers. She brings her background in marketing, psychology, counseling, art history, science, and metaphysics to the knitting classroom. 


Jennifer is dedicated to promoting creative confidence in every knitter, enhancing knitting skills, and encouraging new and innovative experimentation in yarn! A self-taught artist, sourcing inspiration from the natural world, folk art, and historical textiles, she shares her own creative journey as an example of how you can express yourself through fiber, creating beauty, harmony, and functionality.

Jennifer’s popular classes include basic and advanced techniques in dyeing, knitwear design, creativity, lacework, texture, and color design. Jennifer is known for her content-rich classes, chock-full of tips, tricks, shortcuts, and easy tools to enhance the creative process.



Felipe Hernandez
   Zapotec Master Weaver from Oaxaca

One of the most renowned weavers of Zapotec rugs in Oaxaca, Felipe, like many of the weavers of the community, began weaving at age 13. He has carried on the tradition by teaching his three sons how to card, spin and weave. Felipe has been able to support his family with his weaving after he was discovered by a buyer from the United States to whom he has provided rugs for more than 10 years. Felipe weaves five hours every day from 4 AM – 9AM. He is a master dyer who expertly produces rose, blueberry and peach shades and is one of the few weavers in Teotitlán that that dyes for custom orders. Weaving remains Felipe’s passion. He says that even if he had different opportunities in another life, he would first and foremost be a weaver.

Cari has been in the Specialty Travel industry for more than thity years and has journeyed extensively throughout the world. Based on her passion for travel and global fiber arts, Cari launched her textile travel company Loom Dancer Odysseys in 2010 to compliment her adventure travel company NatureQuest founded in 1992. It is Cari's belief that, as adventurous textile travelers, we all share the rare opportunity to have a positive impact on our destinations.  She feels that learning as much as possible about each land, its people and rich culture helps us to fully understand and respect the global puzzle.  She is also an award-winning tapestry weaver with more than 20 years of experience.  Cari is trained in the Rio Grande tradition of weaving unique to the Southwest.  Cari is passionate about weaving and exposing others to the many forms of fiber art around the world and here at home.  In addition to leading Loom Dancer Odysseys' textile expeditions, she teaches weaving classes in Santa Fe. Jan Jeffreys    Weaving Instructor

Jan is a California native who studied fiber arts and weaving in the Bay Area in the 70's. She comes from a long line of sewers and knitters and was creating clothing design at an early age.  While she continued her passion for weaving, she obtained a Masters in Special Education and taught for 25 years before retiring in 2010.


Jan now lives in Grand Junction, Colorado where she owns and operates a small lavender farm and weaving business.  Her other interests include mosaic arts, painting, cooking/concocting lotions and potions, ceramics and almost any water sport!  You'll find her in Mexico in the winter, on the river in the spring, farming in the summer and traveling in the fall.  Always with a SAORI loom in tow!  Jan loves to travel, explore and learn about different cultures rich in fiber history and share that knowledge with others.  Finding Loom Dancer Odysseys was a natural fit!


Susan Renke
Guide and Culinary Expert

One of the constants in Susan’s life has been her opportunity to travel throughout the United States and abroad to experience firsthand how culture and food are intertwined. Susan has spent her career in food and agriculture, connecting farmers and chefs.  Her longtime friendship with Cari gave her the opportunity to join some of the Loom Dancer Weaving Odysseys, exploring the culinary scene and taking cooking classes.


The launch of Global Palate Adventures, designing and leading culinary-focused tours around the world, was a natural extension of Susan's interest in food, wine, agriculture, and global cuisine.  In addition to travel and food, Susan’s passions include learning about wine, textiles, interior design, architecture, and wildlife – all perfect companions to her culinary travel adventures. Susan has two amazing grown daughters and lives in the Pacific Northwest.

Dayna Fisk-Williams
   Art Education Coordinator and Weaver

During her years there, she began collecting Japanese fabrics. With her favorite vintage kimono and obi, she created unique purses with these Japanese materials.  She sold her one-of-a-kind bags through Etsy, Japanese shops, 10,000 Waves in Santa Fe and at craft shows.  

Then weaving entered her life! After learning traditional Rio Grande weaving, Dayna branched out and learned fabric weaving from Saori teachers in the US, Canada and Japan. She soon realized that her sewing skills and fabric weaving were a match made in heaven! Her woven garments are now seen on women all over America, from New York to San Francisco as they can be purchased from 7 Arts Gallery in Santa Fe, a gallery that Dayna owns with several other local artists.

Angel Winn
  Encausitc Artist and Photographer

Angel started out as a young artist before moving on to successful careers in filmmaking and photography.  Living in Santa Fe, Wynn been inspired to utilize an assortment of mixed media to alter her photographic images and take them to a new level. Wynn shows, sells and operates a studio inside 7 Arts Gallery, located1/2 block from the historic downtown plaza. 


New Mexico’s cultures, landscapes and art scene are inspirational to Wynn’s creativity.  Wynn has been an instructor of photo encaustics for over 8 years. She has taught numerous workshops through Airbnb and the Museum of Encaustic Art along with traveling to teach workshops in Colorado, Arizona and Idaho. Lorna McMaster
Fiber Artist, Sheep Breeder and Author from Prince Edward Island

Lorna McMaster has been breeding fiber sheep, working in wool, and teaching fiber art since 1997.  She is a juried member of the League of NH Craftsman and the PEI Craft Council, and has received several awards for her felt work.  Her felted dolls have appeared in several galleries in New England and PEI, and her business, Lorna’s Wool Needle Felting Kits, have taught thousands of people to needlefelt since 2006.  Lorna is the author of several instructional books including Woolworks: Teaching to the National Standardswith Fiber Arts;  Nature Notebook: The Art of Learning to See; and Dancing with Sheepdogs:  A Beginner’s Guide to Herding.   She currently owns and operates a working organic sheep farm in Pembroke, Prince Edward Island.
